Our time will?come

Well, looks like everything is rolling along here as usual. You know, strikes, attacks, deaths, imposed social silence, daily disappointment and destruction… They are officially fucking the corpse.

On Friday the 21st we celebrate.

For those dreaming of land erect with concrete monster trash, know the battle is not over. For those whose death breath and poison words taint the truth, know there will be no tolerance. For those whose fascistic antics pose to impress the elite and suppress the weak, know there will be retaliation.

What used to be the ‘rule’ when creating propaganda material for a diy show, now almost seems …passe. For us it was a chance to stay away from the world of computers and ‘artists’ and just get some collective work done on the floor.

Newspapers, magazines (and other printed shit), scissors, a couple markers, glue, tape and some inspiration were all the tools we needed to make this poster.

For those who think they own our lives, fuck you!

Sverige crust’n'roll?motherfunkers!

A few weeks ago, while celebrating Apostoli’s birthday at our underground hole, we had a proposition of setting up a show. Local hardcore band Ruined Families are planning a mini tour with Swedish hardcore crusties Fredag Den 13:E. So, the deal is: Athens at our hole on Friday the 21st of January, Volos on Saturday and Patras on Sunday.

While thinking about who to ask along to join the set list -and realizing the lack of good, local bands- we thought of inviting a band from some place else other than this shithole.

Hellstorm gave us the positive answer right away and we are glad to have one of the few hardcore bands with a new 12” release. Check also this cool blogspot Crust Cracker, which one of the guys has.

So, almost everything is set up for our first gig for 2011. Poster coming soon.

Fire! Fire!?Fire!

2011 already has one filthy, broken foot through the door, Athens is about to become a battlefield yet again and I’m curious to see what we’ll be burning this year: Christmas trees, the Parliament or politicians in their sleep. Either one’s fine with me. Meanwhile, mountainous rubbish heaps outside have already started to decompose and the stench is as unhealthy as it is puke worthy.Whoever took a match to one of those over flowing rubbish bins obviously had a poisoning wish.

Speaking of sickness and fire and on to the main point: On Saturday December 11,Swedish hardcore grind punkers The Arson Project will be visiting us as part of their Plague Bringer Tour for a few shows around Greece. Oh, AND they’re bringing guests! Romanian hardcore crusties Mediocracy ! Local grind attack Slavebreed mosh the mix and William’s your mother’s brother!

Prepare for a night of obscene malevolence! Brazen guitars, plummeting drumming and exasperated vocals, Mediocracy keep the pedal to the metal while still coming down on you slow and severe. Next up, feverish tempos that trigger screeching and screaming, chaotic beats that come like bullets and deranged melodies, the Slavebreed hammer is guaranteed to mince you to a pulp. And we’re not done yet! The Arson Project spread the menace and i bet we’re gonna go hell bound. Destructive blast-beats and racing riffs, pissed off voices and enough power to pin you through the floor!

See you on the way down people! Same katarameno time, same katarameno place. It’s gonna be torturous i say!

On October 21, DESPITE EVERYTHING packed their bags, loaded their gear and set off to catch a boat to go start their “with my bear hands” tour. Their last blog update from that tour was on October 22…

Now, I don’t know what happened along the way and i’m sure they’re all still alive (if only just); either way, they’re gonna tell us all about it AND sing us a song this Friday, when they return from their trip round Europe.
The good news of course is that they won’t be coming home alone, as they’re gonna have friends and musical comrades ASTPAI in tow for five shows around Greece . BANDAGE will be the welcome home act for Athens and you can check their page for the rest of the tour dates and info.

Sticks and stones may break our bones but words will never hurt us.
